Our story
This public realm converted a dual carriageway road into a linear park with bioswales and retention areas. Through close collaboration between lead consultant Outlines Landscape Architecture, Council and the engineers, the project created a fully integrated green, resilient public space that also retained its critical role in the Geelong CBD traffic network.
David Worsley was Civil Engineering Lead and developed concept and detailed design of stormwater drainage and civil infrastructure works. The stormwater design included bioretention gardens, passive irrigation of the linear park, and civil design using structural soils with trees in close proximity to road pavements.
